Hey guys, Since i updated to iOS 14.7.1 im getting this kind of error(sorry it’s in Polish, but i will try to translate it to you, basically it means) „Mobile carrier settings update failed” iPhone would not be able to make calls and receive calls or use data on the GSM network, unless it gets updated”
And this happens also after updating to 14.8 and 15.0(I’m using Orange carrier in Poland, it was Orange 46.0 on iOS 14.7.1, and on 15.0 its Orange 47.0, but it makes no difference) I’m using this iPhone since March 2021 and i’ve got not a single problem with it, but since iOS 14.7.1. im getting this. When i click „more information(wiecej informacji)„ this goes to the apple page and it says i need to do a whole restore to update my carrier settings(madness, lol)
I did 3 whole clean restores from .ipsw for iOS 14.7.1 then for 14.8 and now for 15.0 without restoring a backup(im always doing it like this, to avoid the problems) And the problem still happens, i started thinking the GSM modem in this iPhone might be partially broken, because this info that i need to do whole restore is a lie, to fix this problem i need to hard reset the iphone 2-4-5 times and it is working again(without restore), after few minutes, and this problems happens really randomly and like once in 2 weeks but i think its unacceptable for the $1099 phone and its quite dangerous, because i might want to receive a call and then it gets broken and i can’t make a call or receive a call, the gsm network is completely off.
Did u encounter this problem ever, do u have any suggestions how to fix?(im using iPhones since iPhoneOS 1.1.3 and i’ve never encountered this kind of problem) My warranty runs of 14 december 2021 so i think i need to send this for a repair…but this problem is really bad because i might send the phone, they will pop a simcard run a test and then it shows them:
- Yea, the network is working fine
Because it is, but this problem with „update failed” can happen randomly and not very often, do u have any suggestions how to fix it or how to prove that this iphone is broken?(i checked my old iPhone 6s, and its working fine, when the message pops on 12 pro max, so i think its not a carrier problem)
