Felt like sharing some pics from my new iPhone 12 Pro.
Pics out of the camera taken in HEIC vs DNG pics taken with the Lightroom App.
I'm looking forward to see what Apple ProRAW files look like.
The following pics aren't apples to apples--the RAW files are obviously messier as I didn't edit them. But it's interesting to see how Apple's computational photography using multiple images in low light compares to a single RAW capture.
HEIC image out of the iPhone. 1/4th sec, f/1.6, ISO 640. I think the iPhone took a 3 sec burst in Night Mode. Pretty impressive.
DNG capture in LR. 1/25th sec. f/1.6. ISO 800.
HEIC image out of the iPhone. 1/25th sec, f/1.6, ISO 1000
DNG capture in LR. 1/30th sec, f/1.6, ISO 1000
HEIC image out of the iPhone. 1/30th sec, f/1.6, ISO 1000
