Is it normal that an iPhone 12 Pro gets 4 hairline scratches on the screen within 5 months? This hasn’t happened on any of the previous iPhones I’ve owned.

It’s totally normal. You have just been very lucky up until now you haven’t noticed them on your previous iPhones.

Don’t sweat it and enjoy your phone. Haven’t used a screen protector in years and don’t plan to any time soon.

Yes. Glass scratches. Especially with the coating they put on touch screen devices.

Get a decent screen protector and apply it to the device the day you buy it if scratches bother you.
