I have an iPhone 6 and iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen.

Strangely enough, some games graphically stutter more on the iPhone 12 Pro compared to playing on the other two devices.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Thanks!

Do they stutter now and then or is it constant? That could be due to fester pixel per pixel refresh rates of OLED screen which makes fast movement seem like it might be stuttering slightly.

It seems relatively constant. What you say makes sense. Does that mean it will always be this way?

I noticed it happening in Tesla vs. Lovecraft and Beat Hazard 2. However, I didn't notice it in Micro Breaker. The two former being fast-paced twin-stick shooters.

If it is in fact due to screen stutter caused by OLED panel there is unfortunately no way to mitigate it. For some reason some people notice it straight away and some don't notice at all. The only way to fix it is the faster refresh rate 120hz screen on iPhone which will most likely come next year.

It could be also that the phone is doing something in the background if it is a new phone. But just to confirm. Does it seem to be like constant micro stuttering when for example a contrasty background is scrolling or when you are turning in FPS games?

Yeah, not FPS games but twin-stick shooters that have the contrasty background as you describe. That's a bummer if it's an unfixable hardware issue. 😞

Before you fall into despair it might be also something related to the fact that iPhone 12 pro has been only out for a couple of days and it might require the game developers to release an update for the game.

Yeah, I hope so. Micro Breaker doesn't have that problem. But the background isn't moving so fast either. 🤔
