I just got this MagSafe charger in the mail yesterday, so it could be the charger. I previously was using a Samsung wireless charger with no issue on every iPhone since the X.

When I plug my 12 Pro up to the MagSafe charger, I get the whole animation, lightning bolt in the middle of the screen with the circle around it. It constantly displays a lightning bolt through the battery icon in the upper left corner. However, it will not charge. The battery percentage just drops overnight as its plugged up.

I’m using this with the recommended 20w charger. I’ve tried 3 hard resets to no avail. Anything else I should try other than a reset?

I don’t expect forced restarts to solve anything unless the device is totally frozen honestly- and in your case it might just be that charger.

Me and my friend have exact same problem... I have iphone 12 and he has iphone 12 mini
I bought original apple 20w charger but still nothing . Only time magsafe charger is working is when the battery drops to 0% --- then wait 3-4 minutes and it will start charging ! If you disconnect magsafe charger and try it again it won't charge ( only animation but nothing happens ). I hope this is software problem with 14.4 and that gentlemans at apple will fix this issues. I hope somebody will solve this problem.
Best of luck

I got a replacement charger from apple, and my issues are now resolved!
