Why would it be on a Friday? Isn't that a released date?

It makes no sense to allow unboxing and reviews on Friday when it’ll already be out. I’m betting on Wed / Thur.

There is an embargo in place until Tuesday 10/20 on iPhone 12 reviews. So 10/20is the day.

Tomorrow is the end of Apple's NDA on iPhone 12 for media / influencers. So expect a lot of video about iPhone 12 in 1 or 2 days.

As others have stated and from what I've dug up, iPhone 12 & 12 Pro Reviews are due tomorrow.
iPad Air reviews are due Wednesday.

I believe those will be the week of release for those models as to not take away from the Pro and regular 12.

To reiterate what others are saying, I read last week from a reputable source that the review units arrived last Friday and the review embargo will be lifted tomorrow (Tuesday). So not long to wait now.
