Bit of a random question. So my 14 died out of warranty and at min can’t afford to get it fixed so I went back to my old 12

One thing I noticed straight away was the difference in screen resolution, I never noticed it at the the time but the 12 looks essentially the same as the 11 even though the 12 is amoled. While my wife’s 13 looks the same as my 14 it’s nice and crisp and vibrant. My 12 just isn’t.

So I’m wondering has my 12 a dodgy screen or was there some big screen upgrade between 12 and 13? All I can see is both are amoled screens but they’re definitely not the same

You know, different people see the screens in different ways. I went from a 12 Pro to a 15 Pro and frankly, didn't see a ton of difference even though the 15 has 120Hz and so forth. But to some it's night-and-day.

If you can't afford to fix the 14 you presumably couldn't afford to fix the 12 so.... probably academic at this point.
