iPhone 12 - Smart Battery Case - speculation

I’m going to upgrade my 2016 iPhone SE this year to 5,4’ iPhone 12. Do you guys think Apple will release Smart Battery Case to all four models? I’d like to get a new iPhone this fall, but I also would like to buy a model Which will be compatible with SBC, but they release them later..

If it's important to you to have a SBC, why not wait for them to announce that type of case for the new models before you buy a new phone?

Hopefully it won’t drain my battery, which my XS Max one does somehow which is the opposite intent of it. Hopefully the battery life will be so good I won’t need one.

I imagine they will do something cool this year with MagSafe. Although wireless charging isn’t as efficient as Lighting.

I’m anxiously waiting for the iPhone 12 SBC, the battery on the smaller pro is borderline crazy for a brand new phone.

I bought it assuming poor battery life though, now I just need that case!

This patent application drawing shows and describes a battery case (10B). Either way, I am looking forward to seeing what Apple does.
