iPhone 12 Pro Max iPhone 12 trade in with installments

Hello,

Hopefully quick question. I have a 12PM and used my Apple Card to finance the purchase with installments. I owe roughly 680$ on my installments. If I opt to trade my 12PM in during the pre order on Friday will Apple prompt me to pay off the 12pm prior to trading it in? Or would those payments just continue until I pay it off?

Thank you for the reply. So I could trade my 12pm in towards the 13pm and just keep making the installment payments on the 12pm in addition to the 13pm payments? It’s kinda a horse a piece to me.
