I’m thinking of getting a 12 pro max, and I have a question for anyone who has the pro already. When shooting 4k60 video, can you swap between lenses without losing quality?
On my 11 pro max, when i shoot with the wide lens at 4k60, if I press the 2x zoom button it uses digital zoom rather than switch to the actual telephoto lens
Has this been addressed in the 12 pro?
Thanks

I’m sure I watched a review that confirmed it actually swaps lenses this year rather than cropping. Unfortunately I cannot remember which one as I’ve watched too many 😂

Thanks. The key thing is, does it do it at 4K and 60fps. The 11 pro would swap lenses but only at 30fps

For anyone interested, you can't switch lenses when shooting at 60 fps, just like with the 11 gen phones.

Also, you still don't get to actually use the 2.5x lens in lower light, it still crops the main sensor, only by a larger amount now to get the 2.5x field of view.
