Hi All,

Got the mrs a iPhone 12 today, noticed a couple of times after its been asleep for a while, waking the device is showing that wifi is connected but there is no data transmitted to or from the device until we toggle wifi off/on in settings or control center.

I have noticed that in my routers App there is no up or down traffic going to the phone, even though we are trying to load a webpage or app.

Wifi network is AX and has been working frine with our 11 and 11 Pro’s as well as multiple Macbooks and iPads we have in the house.

As the device is so new, not much going on online about this so wondering if there was anyone here with the same experience today?

Just to update on this, have tired to forget the network, turn off Private address, reset network settings and we are still getting the same issue. As a last resort I have switched the phone over to the 2.4ghz network to see if it helps. If not my next step is to restore the phone.

Has anyone else had this at all?

Was just getting ready to post a thread on this, but yes, I am having the same symptoms as you describe. I have the XFi router with a brand new iPhone 12. WiFi on the phone shows connected, but clearly no data is being transmitted either way.

It is troublesome but the work around is to disconnect WiFi and use LTE, reconnecting at a later time.

And like you, I have reset the network settings on the iPhone to no avail. I do think it is network/router and not necessarily the phone, but not sure - we've got a lot of other devices connected to the network.

I have fixed this by changing my WIfi Networks SSID and setting a completely different password. Both phones have been connected for weeks and no longer have the issue.

Thanks for coming back for an update/fix, I’ve had this issue too. Will try your solution. Silly that we have to do this, but at least you seem to have found a fix.
