Hi,

Does anyone know what impact (if any) the addition of these metal plates - stuck directly to the rear of iPhone 12 - has on MagSafe?

Most people would place these plates between the rear of the phone, and the inside of a phone case.

But I am thinking of going without a case...

Its does more if you place the plate along the bottom edge. In my case I put it inside the Apple Silocn Case. Its out of the way of the MagSafe connector and works perfectly fine on the 12 Pro! I am running that configuration now.

Interesting, any pics of your set up? I haven't seen one pic yet of iPhone 12 with a plate stuck to the back (it's never been an elegant look...)

I really liked the iphone 12, but the thick design was not nice, the oldest phone designs were a bit ridiculous, softer corners could be made.

Thanks for confirming!

Here you go! Charges via MagSafe 100%

FYI: I use the Scosche XL MagicMounts so the magnet is really strong.

...ah, okay. The whole point of the thread is for those without a case (see the thread title!). You are running a case!

Quote the relevant part of the OP below:
