Hey everyone,

I’ve been using my iPhone 13 for about six months now, and everything was running smoothly up until I updated to the latest iOS version. After the update, I’ve started noticing a pretty significant drop in battery life, even when I’m using my phone normally. It’s become more frequent that I need to charge it in the middle of the day, and I can’t pinpoint what’s causing it. The battery health in the settings appears to be fine, but the performance just doesn't seem to match up to what it was before the update.

I’ve already tried a few troubleshooting steps, such as restarting the phone, disabling background apps, and even turning off location services to see if it might help. However, none of these seem to have had any positive effect on the battery drain. To be honest, I haven’t added any new apps recently or made any major changes to my phone’s settings either, so I’m a bit stumped as to why this is happening.

I’ve been reading around, and it seems like some people are having similar issues after the recent iOS update. It’s frustrating because everything was working perfectly before. I’m wondering if the update caused some background processes to run more than usual or if it's affecting certain apps more than others. I’ve also heard that battery optimization can sometimes take a hit after an update. If anyone has any tips on further troubleshooting or things to try, I’d love to hear them!

I think you have posted this in the wrong part of the forum, that's why you aren't getting many answers.
If you have an iPhone 13 and have updated to the latest iOS version you are running iOS 18, not 16.
iOS 16 is EOL in terms of support.
