Sometimes I need to take a picture of something that has a shadow being cast upon it. I try to use the camera flash to eliminate the shadow. Now I can take the exact same picture several times without moving or changing anything and sometimes the subject comes out nice and bright with no shadow, and other times it comes out much darker and the shadow is still there. This must mean that the precise timing of the flash with the exact moment the photo is captured changes slightly each time. I know this because if I use "live photo" there is always a few frames where the flash is illuminating the subject perfectly. I just don't understand why with live photo turned off that sometimes the photo seems perfectly synced with the flash and sometimes it doesn't. It's totally inconsistent. I can find no rhyme or reason why this would be or what the changing factor is other than the consistency of the camera being inherently faulty. Is there any way to change some settings or to make the camera more consistent? Anyone else familiar with what I'm experiencing?
