Hi guys

Moved from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 13 a few weeks ago but today i used the camera for the first time.

I immediately noticed that when i try to take close up photos of objects the camera doesn't focus well.

I am not talking about Macro shots but objects at a distance of around 10-15cm lets say.

I used to take shots like these with the 11 and had no focus issues. But with the 13 i have to take the object further away to focus and the zoom on it to get a closer shot.

Has this got something to do with the new larger lenses? A quick google search indicates that other people have this issue too with the 13.

I couldn't replicate the issue with a friend's 13 Pro.

Thanks.

It is due to the larger lens aperture, which reduces depth of field, and it's partly why 13 Pro has macro mode for taking close ups.

I have used the Pro and due to the macro camera maybe, i don't get the same issue.
