is there any way to know when the refurb store gets the 13 mini in stock? they seem to sell out quickly when they do get a batch in. it would be nice to know instantly when they arrive.

All 13's got taken out sadly, when they added the refurbish 15's, on Apple's Refurbish store.

i don't like buying refurb outside of apple. that said, is there an equally high quality source that i can investigate?
