I’ve had my 13 mini for about 2 days. Every now and then the Lock Screen will not respond to any touch. I need to use the power button to wake the screen and from there, everything works fine - but I’m bummed. Love the phone but it’s already happened several times with no real pattern. I’m not using a case or screen protector.

I know this was a problem with the 12 mini too, which was eventually fixed with software. Hopefully this will be the case again. But it’s frustrating.

Any other Mini owners experiencing this?

There are other 13 owners all sizes complaining about the same thing I myself have not experienced this issue yet.

I’m experiencing the same on a 13 Pro Max. Hopefully it’s a software thing and will be resolved soon.

I have it to on my Pro 13.
After I raise to Wake the touch functionality will work as expected until I lock it again. The only way around it is a restart… it happens maybe every day or so. I am thinking this is software related, I hope…

Out of the box, I experienced this issue. Ever since I ran the update that is available (The 13's shipped with the RC software version, not the final release), the issue is gone.

Thanks for your input. For what it’s worth, I applied the update but still have the issue.

Ah I thought it was just me. I was having the same issue over the weekend, either the Lock Screen was not responsive to touch or the screen would just stop working while I was using it (browsing Safari and taking pictures). No other issues with the phone so hopefully Apple can fix the issue through software updates.

I've had this happen a couple of times on my 13 mini. My 12PM running the same OS doesn't do this. As you said, the power button helps alleviate the issue. Does not bother me after dealing with some of OnePlus' software glitches😅

Interesting that there is an article on this today. I had it happen to me for the first time yesterday. I have an iPhone 12 Pro.

5 days in a row with it happening for me. Reboot fixes it but comes back within a day typically. Toggling the tap to wake setting doesn’t fix it.
