iPhone 13/Mini: Which Color Will You Get?

Here I go being indecisive again. :rolleyes: I'm going to get the 13 Mini, but can't decide on which color.

I like Product RED best, but I don't like the fact that I can't use whatever case I want with it since not everything matches red. I'm SO sick of black, but it fits best the Apple Silicon Case I want most (Clover). I liked how the 12 Mini looked in white. Those aluminum rails provided cool contrast with the black bezel. However, I don't know what this "Starlight" color looks like in person. In pictures, it looks like a warmer white, almost slightly brown, which I'm not sure I like.

I'm stuck. 😩

What color are you guys getting?
 
I can’t decide between pink, red and blue. I may even like the black if it’s a pure deep black and not blue-black or with a hint of some other color.

I’m not trading my green mini anytime soon, though, so I hope to be able to see them in person and make my mind up that way, this time.

I’m keeping my purple 12 mini. That’s the best color to me and I’m disappointed they didn’t keep it in the lineup. I love my green, too.

The blue looked amazing in their presentation but the renders on their store site look very different and not to my tastes.

I think I’m going to go with Pink. I’ve been wanting a gold iPhone ever since the XS Max was launched and I ”played it safe” and went with Space Grey instead. Regretted it ever since. The gold 12 and 13 Pro/Max is the best looking iPhone ever imo.

The Pink is the closest to gold I’ll get on the Mini. It’s also neutral enough to go with a wide variety of cases, but not so neutral that it’s kind of boring, like Starlight. I think the product red looks best, but seeing that red border around my screen all of the time would get old and the color also wouldn’t go well with a lot of cases.

my current iPhone is rose gold, and I still love the color. I like both the blue & the pink. I’ll probably decide around 4:59 a.m. PDT on the 17th. :D I tend to go pink, but really like that blue!
 
Judging by the photos on Apple’s website, the Product Red iPhone 13 seems like it’s a return back to the proper shade of red like the beautiful Product Red iPhone 8 and XR.

Not sure why Apple keep changing the shade of red when the point of the Product Red initiative is still the same but hopefully they don’t screw it up again.

Blue for me, gold for the wife.

I think, I have a hunch, that the midnight is a midnight blue. Which is gorgeous. But this looks too dark and I don’t know if I like a color that looks like black. If in person I see it is a deep dark blue, I will probably go with it. If it’s almost black (which, by the look of the photos, it is gonna be an almost black), then I’ll go with one of the other colors, red, blue or white. Oh, I can’t decide...

About the purple, if you like that color that much, I’d wait until spring to see if they release it again. Something tells me they will... along a green one again, maybe? It was a pity they removed the green from the lineup and it will probably come with the new season collection.

And yes, I completely agree with you on this GrumpyMom, the blue looked amazing but the renders don’t. So I have to see them in real life as well.

It is always great to read you on the threads about iPhone mini colors :p

Lol thanks. I still have an iPhone 4. It’s black and I love it and that’s sort of what I want. Unfortunately it’s not my original iPhone 4 that I loved and used for 3 happy years. That was back when I had to be dragged kicking and screaming to upgrade it to a 5s. lol believe it or not that woman once existed. No it’s my husband’s. Then it belonged to a kid. Now it’s with my stuff Anyway I would love to have that color again. I want that exact look, black with silver bands,but I know it’s not likely to ever happen again.

But yes I most definitely am waiting for spring to upgrade the mini. My green mini that I will trade in is at 97% battery health. My purple is at 100%. I’ll keep using that green machine and get a fresh mini in a color to be determined around Mother’s Day!
 
Well the wife who was adamant she wasn't going to upgrade... just had me add a phone to the pre-pre-order upgrade for her. Blue iPhone 13 for me, and blue iPhone 13 mini for her.

Not sure I want ANOTHER black iPhone tbh (All my previous iPhones have been black or space grey)
Looking mainly at product(RED) and the starlight white. But first I need to see the blue one in person.
 
I really would like the Starlight if it maintains the silver anodised edges. But if it does not, then I’d probably go with the blue or black.

Starlight is exactly the same color as the 12 from last year. It’s a very light Champagne. I guess it’s more appopriate than calling It White/Silver. The naming of the colors this year is gagworthy. Keep it simple Apple.

Tim, Craig, Scott, Ternus, Schiller... if any of you is reading this: We want the orange iPhone 13!!!
You can release a green, an orange and a purple iPhone 13 in spring. You still have time.

I’ve been wondering if the 13 mini will be released in purple later just like the 12… I’d also love a green colour, but I don’t like the current shade of green, I’d prefer a darker, fuller green like ‘army green’ or ‘forest green’… If I decide to upgrade from my blue 12 mini, I’d probably go for product red or white this year

Interesting that ”undecided“ is the 2nd highest rated category in the poll (at the time of my viewing…at 25.6%). Following behind in third place is “midnight“ at 16.3% , and in first place is “Blue“ at 32.6%. All other colors are trailing at below 10%. Seems like everyone else is having the same trouble I’m having with the 13 (non-pro) colors: They pretty much suck! Reluctantly, given the color choices of the 13 line-up, and as much as I was wanting to replace my 11 with a 13-mini, I’ve narrowed my choices down to: 1) holding onto my green iPhone 11 for another year (my likely choice) or going with the blue 13-pro (the only compelling option in the 13 line-up…for me).

I agree. The colors are not good.
 
Thank you everyone who contributed to this thread. You helped me make up my mind.

Speck has not and might not release my "go to" smartphone case which is the Presidio Grip 2. Since I work six blocks away from an Apple Retail Store, I'm just going to wait until I can see all the colors in person and then decide.

By that time Speck may have released the Presidio Grip 2 for the iPhone 13 mini.
