Hello I recently bought an iPhone 13 pro and I've noticed it get really hot when charging through my PS5 USB c port. Is that bad for the battery? The reason I use my PS5 to charge my phone is to prevent plugging the charger in the wall.

Any charger can be used safely with that iPhone.

To minimize heating while plugged in:
Take it out of its case
Don’t use it while fast charging.

If the heat is bothering you while plugged in and using it, get a 5 watt charger. It won’t generate as much heat.

If a battery can survive two years (of abuse) before being degraded to 80% battery health, that’s “normal “ as far as Apple is concerned.
