If you haven’t done the initial iOS 15 update since getting your phone, that is normal. The iPhones shipped with a RC build and that just updates it to final 15.0 build.

Didn’t do any update since getting it but I didn’t get a badge until today to update it.

I've already done 2 updates since getting my 13 PM on the 24th. First one was right after turning it on and checking settings. The second one was a few days ago. I'm not sure why I got 2 since most people only got 1 update.

There was only one update, the day zero update. At least that is all I have seen and applied.
