Opinion on overall pre-order experience
Which vendor for previous iPhone pre-order
For me,

Pre-order Vendor: Best Buy
Pre-order Date: 9/17/21 at 530pm CST
Pre-order Method: In-person at Store
Pre-order Status: Available for Pickup
Anticipated/Actual Pickup Date: 9/30/21

Overall Experience: Good. Would have preferred to accept delivery on original system delivery date of 9/24. Totally understand the unanticipated demand for for the Pro series as well as the non-standard storage capacity of 512GB. It was just hard waiting. This is the first pre-order that I did not receive it on launch day. Got my iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB Graphite on launch day last year.

Previous Pre-order Vendor: Best Buy for iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus as well as three prior year Galaxy models.

Picked up my iPhone 13 Pro Max Graphite 512GB at Best Buy yesterday. Backed up to iCloud before I left the house. At the store, connected to their Wi-Fi. Used the Transfer or Reset iPhone in Settings/General. It was so easy that I had to walk the Best Buy techs through it. Once the Transfer part is complete, it is necessary for all the apps and data to download/installed. It should take around a half hour. All apps and data are transferred. If you need to leave the store before download of the transferred apps and data is complete, connect to your home Wi-Fi.

No need to log back into any apps except possibly ADT the Ring, if you have 2FA setup. Make sure that you are connected to your wireless provider, that you ready to erase or reset the trade-in, reset your default browser.

Is it me or does the notch appear smaller than the other iPhone 13 models? I realize that the screen real estate is the largest but it makes content more enjoyable and the notch much less intrusive.
