I’ve notice that the LiDAR Scanner on my graphite iPhone 13 pro max looks green under some lighting conditions. This doesn’t happen in the daylight and only indoors.

I have compared to other Silver and Sierra blue iPhones my friends/family own and this does not happen on there’s under the exact same lifting condition.

I don’t seems to have any issues with functionality. It’s just something that doesn’t look very nice and don’t understand why it doesn’t happen on the other phones.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their phones?

I’m thinking this may be exclusive to graphite iPhones or I may have a defect?

Thank you in advance!

Well it isn't the same angle but I see green on the silver phone too
Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried it at many angles and I see it very easily on the graphite but can never see it on the other colours. Not sure why this is

It seems there is overlap with the other LiDAR is green thread.

It’s green on my 12 Pro Max also. I think that’s normal.
Thank you. What colour is your phone?
Is it not working as expected?
seems to be working fine so far. Just thought it was strange aesthetically and doesn’t look nice.

If I could replicate it on the other phones I would’ve forgot about it just bothered because I could only do it on my graphite and wanted to find out if this is a thing for graphite only or just mine.

An update for anyone who cares! So I checked another graphite model and it’s much better. Though it still goes green in some angled it’s very hard to get it to appear green unlike the other which is almost always green.

I thought this didn’t seem right. I think this only happens on the graphite models and I guess they vary.

Glad I checked as I really thought it didn’t look very nice.
