Hey all. Been doing some looking in here but not finding any reference to this. I was thinking wifi calling isn't working on my 13 pro max, but I just discovered that it seems to be, but the indicator only shows on the lock screen scrolling in top left corner(AT&T Wi-Fi). After unlocking that space is occupied by the clock, and no other indications that wifi calling is on or working show. I checked my wife's 13 pro max, and hers shows AT&T Wi-Fi all the time on upper left corner even when unlocked I think.. Thoughts? I don't see any settings to change anywhere to make that show when unlocked on my phone. Anyone else see this behavior or know how to fix it? Drives me nuts. Never had this issue on my 6S+ for 6 years.

Ok all.. I have done some more research and on chat/phone with Apple support. I will give my opinions as they really didn't seem to have a definitive answer. Only that they couldn't find an option to make it display as previous phones. This seems to be intended behavior. I believe this to have most likely started with the notched phones. I don't have a 10-12 with which to compare, but I've had 6S+ for 6 years and my work phone is an 8 and this is the 13. There is a major Status Bar difference between these 2 phone display types. This all being caused, I believe, by this stupid notch. I swore I wasn't gonna get another phone until they got rid of the notch and brought back TouchID somehow like inside the screen or something. I didn't wait obviously.. so now I have to live with this difference. I did discover, however, that the Control Center "Status Bar" not only shows this as previous on the older phones, but also shows the battery % display which is also gone from the newer phones. I find it annoying and inconvenient that I have to perform a separate action just to see those data pids because of that stupid notch. Hope this helps someone..

Same thing with my 11 Pro Max on Cricket (AT&T): The lock screen is the only place that it says, "Cricket Wi-Fi." But I'm fine with that because I don't need to know whether Wi-Fi calling is active or not. I just assume that it is, and if it isn't, the calls go through anyway.

Good to know, thanks. I figured it was a notched phone thing.. I usually only run wifi calling when I'm at work because I sit in a dead spot in my building. I don't have it enabled all the time because you have to have the address of where you are in there for 911 call responses. Updating that all the time would be a pain, so I only use wifi calling when I have to and I usually know where that will be. But, at least in the Control Center Status Bar you can see those data pids that are now missing on the notched phones. I'm guessing so many people have been on notched phones for so long, no one really knew or cared that there is a difference.

I see Verizon wifi (VZW WiFi) displayed in upper left corner in control center on my X running iOS15.1 as well as the Lock Screen. Forget it I just read your post #2 and see you already know about control center
