I feel like I’ve seen this issue enough that I wonder if it’s a known issue and I should just get the phone replaced. Finding time to get to the Apple store to do that is always a challenge for me so that’s why I’m asking here first.

Basically, after switching from the 12 to the 13 Pro, my Wi-Fi functionality is all wacky. I almost never see the Wi-Fi connection indicator on the top of the screen anymore, even though the phone is connected to Wi-Fi. If I put the phone in airplane mode, I get error messages about needing to disable airplane mode to browse, but then things work anyway. I put my phone in airplane mode often when I am at home because the cell phone coverage is terrible, but with Wi-Fi calling, everything works pretty great as long as I’m on Wi-Fi and it’s not using the cellular network. So this is something I do almost every day, and is dramatically different From my old phone.

Can anyone report that this is something they’ve seen on their new device, or maybe is it a iOS 15 issue? Thanks!

This problem had persisted through a reset of network settings but not all settings and a couple of software updates. Predictably, after posting this, I installed iOS 15.1.1 and it seems to have solved it ?
