I’ve looked all over the forum and tried all of the troubleshooting. Nothing works.
My brand new iPhone 13 Pro 256 running iOS 15.1 will not connect to my CarPlay unit in my Vehicle but works in my Wife’s vehicle.
So, I spent an hour on the phone with Apple Support last night. Went through all of the troubleshooting. Reset Network Settings, Different Cords, Changed iPhone name, Forget Device, Erase Bluetooth, Reset the Head Unit, you name it we tried it. When I plug it in, the unit flashes the CarPlay logo briefly then knocks it out. We got it to work for 10 seconds then knocked it out. We must have done this 40 times with Zero luck.
My other iPhones work on the unit just not the Brand New one. The Apple Tech gave up at the hour mark stating it was the head unit not the iPhone.
The stereo company gave me the same failed troubleshooting and nothing. Unplugged the car battery and all.
Could there be some kind of block that’s keeping this particular iPhone from connecting? Since it flashes but quickly drops? I am totally stumped.
I completely wiped the iPhone and set it up again from a backup last night. I did not try it yet as I’m letting the dust settle a bit.
Is this part of the continuing Apple iOS 15 CarPlay issue that’s all over the internet?
