Can anyone comment on if the iPhone 13 is better then the 12 for holding or maintaining a weak signal for any connection type? Hoping to be able to have signal where the 12 didn’t.

Interested in this thread. I’m still using an XS Max and that phone isn’t great when trying to receive signals in marginal areas. I’m still planning on purchasing the iPhone 13, but this is something I’ve been curious about.

i feel like the 12 pro max held on to signal just as long as Xs and the x but it was more usable. I have the 13 pro max on my dresser. I’ll set it up tomorrow

I’ve just upgraded from an XS Max to a 13 Pro Max for this reason - calls and wifi. Haven’t had a chance to test it out yet

So far it’s held the signal (bars) really well - seems stable

It should be better in theory, but it also depends on the antenna modules that Apple (and not QC) designs.

I wonder too. I own the 12 Mini and the only reason for me to upgrade earlier than next year when there will be a probably big discount is reception.

I travel a lot through the country (in Europe) and I often have bad reception. iPhone 12 was a big step forward from the 11. Still I often have no to low signal in the countryside. I wonder if people living in low signal areas experience any bigger jump in signal quality compared to the 12 line. Not talking about 11 or before because there was already a big jump with the 12 line. But what about 12 to 13 line and low signal areas? Any real life experiences?

Thank you so much!

I think a reception can be an unnecessarily large expense. Have you considered just a small intimate gathering with friends after your iPhone 13 wedding?
