Was wondering if the iPhone 13 (pro max) can do this? I’d like to have tmobile, att, and Verizon all on one phone. Thinking esim for two of them, then the third using a physical sim? Thoughts?

Oh ok. I was thinking like for example having tmobile and Verizon on esim, with att in the sim slot on standby basically. So this can be done ?
I can’t find any support document to back this, but I remember seeing somewhere that you can have up to 10 different lines stored on esim but obviously can only have 1 active at a time. Or two in the case of the 13 series. But 3 active lines simultaneously is a no-go. I know that’s not exactly what you want but i’m just putting this as reference in the event someone comes across this post in the future in a search.

I wonder if even though only two are active, could I still switch between the three if needed, say if coverage is bad in an area for one or the other cellular services.......

Yes. If for example you have four lines total, and line 1 & 2 are each active, you can turn on line 3 as long as you’re willing to turn off 1 or 2

T-Mobile seems to confirm that iPhones can store (and switch between) a total of 10 eSIM profiles.

Apple only says that one can install "multiple profiles".

Thank you. So I can have three different lines then. Nice. Three e-sims would be nice.......

this means you can have 2 sims active at one time, even if it's 2 esims, so no, you won't have 3 active lines/plans at one time, only 2 be it either through 2 esims or 1 sim + 1 esim.
