Hello everybody

I don't understand the differences between the US and Rest of the World models. The official announcement says "5G mmWave is limited to the US". Yet, looking at the official specs available at https://www.apple.com/iphone-13/specs/, under Cellular and Wireless (or anywhere else), I fail to spot a single difference between model A2481 and model A2482. I even fail to understand the point of two different paragraphs with the same exact information.

Can anybody help?

Thank you

A2481 is the iPhone 13 Mini

A2482 is the iPhone 13

I don't know why they specifically mention the two model numbers in the radio section. As the list does appear to be the same. I just wanted to clarify those model numbers aren't the International vs the US versions. They're just US Models.

The models sold in France are the A2628 and A2633. They don't support 5G mmWave, CDMA EV-DO Rev A., and a number of fewer bands in multiple categories. I couldn't say if these are the only international models or if there are more revisions for different countries. Why they support less I don't know. I didn't see any in the French list not supported in the US model. Maybe the US model is the best all around for international usage.

Edit: The A2628 and A2633 are the Global models. Here's a breakdown of the various regional models. Which you may peruse for more radio differences.

Thanks a lot to you both.

As far as I understand then, the US model has a broader spectrum and is not missing any frequencies compared to the RoW model.

Good list, I also fail to understand Apples reasoning here, people do actually travel... some people even travel to the US sometimes... :D , so why the limitation on the phones sold outside the US?

Good point. Perhaps they are made less capable to justify vastly higher prices:)

If I understand the above list correctly is it safe to assume if I buy an iPhone 13 in the US that it will work just fine in the rest of the world?
