It's funny that the white balance consistency of cameras are better than the screens'.
The laptop screen behind has been corrected, I know how "right warm white" looks like, and the iPhone 13 is much warmer.
Lucky for me didn't order it from a reseller, so I can return it🙃

There are two main factors that will cause your screen to be too warm (in your words yellow). 1) Night Shift is enabled and you're viewing your phone between the hours of 10PM-7AM. This override any true tone-ness and give the display a much warmer color (to help you sleep better apparently).
2) True Tone is enabled and it's displaying what it believes is the correct colors. If it's inaccurate, then the sensors/calibration is off (doubtful)
3) Your laptop display is inaccurate.
4) You have a defective display.

Judging by the pictures, I would go with either 1 or 2 and also would take your photos/knowledge as a grain of salt because if you know what the white balance is suppose to be like, you would clearly see that your photographs you sent us are off (judging by the skin tones being way inaccurate, the white table/box in the background, all with greenish look). So those pictures tell us nothing about how your iPhone display's warm tone.

Sorry for didn't mention that both Night Shift and True Tone are off, I have had some apple devices and I know things. I did several experiments and found the degree of True Tone "compensation" are almost the same.

I use the word "consistency" instead of "accuracy" to describe the white balance of cameras. Yes my skin looks hulky in the pictures, but the color of the two photos are very similar, right?

The laptop screen has a PANTONE certification, it must be accurate. I am sensitive to the display quality.

At last, my point is the screen consistency is terrible, I am pretty sure the screen has deffect. I don't want to argue about whether it's a hardware deffect, but adding more description and direct conparison may be clearer. Thanks for your time.

For everyone mentioning True Tone and suggesting to turn it off to rectify display tint, no! You don’t know what the situation is! I have the same issue on my 13 (and across all 12 line). True Tone is supposed to be ON as designed by Apple. So do NOT tell anyone to turn off True Tone to fix anything! Secondly, we’re comparing every device with True Tone ON. The X, XS, 11Max even macs etc look consistently white while starting from 12 line last year to regular 13, the screens go sh11t yellow. (13 Pros are with normal white) Thirdly, if you turn True Tone off actually the screen goes a little too green. This is also an evidence that the screen itself has a hardware difference. Maybe it’s cheaper l idk. But sh11tty yellow screen looks awful.
(P.s I believe no one here is not intelligent enough to leave nightshift on to discuss this topic. So pass. )
