Now that the PLUS has been out a few weeks, wanting to see what those of you who have one think, or have you switched from another phone to the Plus? I still believe the weight is awesome!

So I’m someone that had a 14 Pro for about a month. I sold it, because I picked up a 14 Plus. Product red.

I absolutely love it. The weight is amazing. It’s substantially lighter and considerably thinner than the Max. And the weight feels very evenly distributed even compared to the regular pro which feels much more dense because of the cameras.

I stopped ignoring the criticisms from all the YouTubers. I get that the 13 Pro Max is spec wise a superior phone, but weight is important to me and I didn’t like how bulky and heavy the 13/14 Pro Max models were.

I don’t take advantage of the cameras because in all honesty I’m lucky to take 100 photos a year. On my 14 Pro, I turned off AOD. And I literally never used the dynamic island.

I do kind of miss the 120hz display, but your eyes quickly adjust back to 60hz. All of my other devices I use are 60hz, so 120hz isn’t a must have for me.

I wanted a big screen again for reading, watching videos, and typing. My last phone before the 14 Pro was the 11 Pro Max, and before that the 8 Plus, I wanted back in a large display again.

Not to mention the battery life is absolutely insane.

I do not regret switching one bit. I love the Plus, if you are not big into photography or taking pictures, and want a big phone that is light and easy to handle, this phone is amazing.

I'm a 14 pro user, who got a 14 plus for my family.

Before I met that said family member in the weekend. I used the 14 plus as daily driver for 2 days, and I'm absolutely in love with it, the whole using, typing, reading and media consuming is fantastic.

Sad I have to go for the better cameras on the 14 pro.

14PM with 13 Mini is a good combo in my opinion but it’s very hard to justify spending that kind of money. I’m testing out a 14 Pro at the moment and a 13 Mini and they both have their pros and cons. After using 120hz it’s really hard to go back although it‘s possible and the weight and feel I think are more valuable overall.

I also owned the 14 Plus for a few weeks and loved it but I felt for $70 more (I’m buying unlocked) I get significant improvements (camera, screen, new design, etc.). To be honest I don’t care about the DI, maybe I prefer it to the notch but whatever, I haven’t found a use with it yet. The Plus feels lighter than the 14 Pro because the weight is better distributed. The only thing stopping me from going back to the Plus is 120hz.

I prefer the overall design of the non-Pro phones because stainless steel is pointless, the cameras are like a cancer that keep growing, and the colors are boring.

I still don’t know what to do. The 13 Mini brand new is still too expensive for what it is (I can find 13PM used for $700 in my area), and the used prices aren’t that great in my area. If the Mini was $499 new with no stupid $30 fee to have unlocked I’d just stick with it honestly.

Yeah. I tried to convinced myself that 6.1” display is good enough but the Plus model is just way better for reading, media consumption, typing. Not to mention the battery life is just crazy.

People can talk up specs all they want to, and I totally get that, but at the end of the day, weight and build correlates to overall usability. When I go to pick up the Plus, or put it in my pocket, there’s no second thought of how bulky or uncomfortable it is to hold. It feels fluid and natural.

And I’m a strong guy. People will joke and say that you need to hit the gym if you say a Pro Max is too heavy. It’s not that, it’s ergonomics. Jony Ive understood this philosophy. But, demographics changed, the want and desire for stronger camera hardware and battery life demands increased, so they no longer could make sleek, thin phones that were light and easy to hold. These trade offs exist now.

Totally respect anyone that wants the pro features but for me, I realized I’m a more simple user and the Plus is literally perfect for me. I’m completely adoring this phone.

sounds like a plus for you?

Are you all using a case with the 14 Plus or using it naked? I'm considering switching from a 14 Pro to a 14 Plus cause I hate the weight of the 14 Pro.

I have a speck presidio grip case and a popsocket. Still lighter than my old 12 pro max

I like my 14 Plus. I like the big screen and wouldn’t mind an even bigger screen. I think the pics are just fine. I hope they don’t discontinue the Plus line.

I wish they had a Plus line for the iPad. I’d like the 12.9 size but don’t need the Pro features.

not me personally, but multiple people I know love the 14+
obviously the 14 pro/pro max is better (it costs more), but that doesn't make the 14 plus a bad product
Most people don't care about 120hz, or the island, or the zoom camera, etc and the 14 plus exists for those people who also want a large screen (then people like me buy the pro Max)

This!! 👆

I'm not sure why more people aren't voicing this opinion, although I suspect Apple aren't making it because of the upsell flow (I mean, I start at the iPad and end up ready to buy the 12.9 iPad Pro or the MacBook Air!).

And on topic for the thread, I'm a 14 Pro user but I love that people are enjoying the 14 Plus, despite naysayers. A lot of good points here as to why someone might be happier with this iPhone – it's not all about 'on paper' specs.

Apple has just heaped dumb idea on dumb idea in recent years (steel, weight, thickness), and the Plus is the company's attempt to walk some of these back.

Apple's headline features of the 6 series were "thin" and "comfortable." We haven't heard those words out of Apple in recent years, have we?
