Did Apple use 14PM WLAN modem hardware on a 14 Plus ?

While checking my network at home on a Ubiquiti mesh system I created ( dual hardlined WAP) w/ hardware firewall, I noticed an iPhone 14 Pro Max on the network.

At first I did not recognize this phone and thought an outsider was hopping onto my network.

Blocked the 14 Pro Max and thought I took care of it until I noticed my 14 Plus had no internet (WiFi).

Turned back on the 14 Pro Max and voila my 14 Plus connected.

Then I see that the 14 Plus is connected via 2.4GHz.

How do I switch it to 5GHz ?

If you want to force your phone to use 5GHz, set up your APs with separate SSIDs for each band, and only have auto-join (on your iPhone) enabled on the 5GHz one.

If you want to stick with a single SSID and let band steering make the decision, see if your AP has configuration options to prefer 5GHz.
