Just like the subject suggests… I can’t scan any QR codes with my brand new iPhone 14 Pro. I’m currently out to breakfast and trying to pay my bill and my phone won’t register the QR code at all… my wife’s 13 mini instantly registers it. Been playing around for 15mins, it just won’t work. Clearly Apple screwed up something I’m guessing; anyone else having this issue?!

Did you turn it on in the camera settings? I just looked at mine and it was off, iPhone 14 PM

Did you turn the feature on in the camera settings?

So I did the next logical thing and toggled it back off and then on and now it works. Obviously it’s an issue from transferring old phone to new phone where even though the setting is “on” and shows as such, it’s not really on.

Honestly, I think it’s just one (of probably a long list) of settings that don’t truly get “turned on” when you transfer the data from your old phone to new phone despite the fact that the setting is showing up as “on” in settings. It happens with some third party apps too.

It seems I always have to reset Siri

While transferring data from Authenticator it struggled with scanning the QR code from within the Authenticator app.
With the main camera app it scanned fine. Some camera switching that didn't occur with the Authenticator app so was blurry.

I'm having similar problems with my iPhone14Pro's camera! It (via iOS 16.0.2) is unable to focus (at any distance) within apps that require scanning, bar codes, QR codes, etc. Nothing seems to fix the phone's inability to focus within apps that require it. BUT I have found that turning on "Macro Control" eliminates the close up blurry / focus issues within the camera app itself.

Apple would never take features away from a updated device. Try a Hard reset
