Wondering if anyone has seen a case for the iPhone 14 pro that effectively smooths out the camera bump by making the case thicker? Appreciate lense would need to be slightly recessed but would allow a phone to lie flat.

Also I found this

Also I found this

I might be wrong on this one... I think it's just a name. I like the brand though.

I'm looking for this too. Amazed and a bit weirded out by how large these cameras are looking at my new iPhone 14 Pro phone in person now.

Even with the new leather case it does not lie flat. This approach seems clunky and very un-Steve like gotta say.

Anyway, has anyone found any success yet with a case that's somehow not too bulky but still flattens out the bump?

I ended up buying this one which effectively fills in the gaps between the lenses. Works really well

DBrand Grip now has a no rock design, skip to 3:16:

My 14 pro with Apple silicone case won't charge on my car's factory charging pad because the air space creates by the camera bump. I'm hoping more companies come out with 'flat case'.

Bummer man. Sorry about this.

Just received my QuadLock mag case and it lays flat. I don’t really care about the magnet function, but I was curious about this case vs their traditional one. I’m pretty happy with it. My 14PM still charges (slowly) on my old Anker wireless charging pad.

but does it charge (even) slower? Because the distance is bigger?

I’m getting the same case for my 14P. I use the quadlock for my bike mount and magsafe mount in the car/on my desk. Really curious if they solved this obnoxious case changing.

Thes show a side profile image and it appears to have a slight raised area around the camera.but it is slightly thicker at the top and bottom so it does appear it would lie flat.

I never used a MagSafe charger for my phone (I really miss it on my M1 MBA though), but the charging pad I had been using since I bought my XS Max worked just fine with the Quadlock mag case. It wasn’t slower but it was a little more sensitive to alignment.

Oh man, I really regret buying the iPhone 14 silicone case from Apple. It just make the whole phone wobby. Typing is a PITA on this phone if placed on flat surface.

I'm so glad someone directed me to this thread.

Just to pile on and vent a minute, it is so hard to find this. Searching for it is nearly impossible, and even when evaluating an individual case, usually you don't get camera angles that make it clear one way or another. Even the Otterbox Defender pictures earlier, several pictures of that case on sites I've went to try to buy it from make it look like the camera bump is raised relative to the rest of the case. Sigh.

Regardless, thanks for all the suggestions thus far (especially aj11fan with all the pictures), and keep them coming!

Tech21 - EvoMax Case with MagSafe

The camera bump is definitely raised but because the case has a sliding door to cover the camera, it goes all the way across the case. So the case doesn't wobble and as an extra added bonus, it props it up a bit.

I've always liked Tech21 cases and have used them on my phones. This one was too big for me though. The phone is already big enough and I'm using the Apple Silicone case. It's light and thin and seems to offer some protection. It does wobble a bit but the tradeoff is worth it to me. Hopefully someday they'll be able to embed the cameras in the phones and this won't be an issue anymore.

Advantage of magsafe: it’s always aligned perfectly.

The quadlock makes my 14 pro wobble free and it still charges overnight without a problem. 🥳
