Hello, everyone. I recently bought an iPhone 14 pro max from Amazon de. I bought it on June 5th, and today, July 26th, I found that my battery level had reached 97% within just these days! And batter cycles counted 57! Whereas my friend bough the same model in January and now her battery health is 97%. I contacted with apple they ran the MRI but they found nothing wrong! they say its totally normal! but I am a light user; I use it only for fb, messenger, whatsapp and sometimes clicking phots and videos. However, I am really disappointed. what should I do now? Apple say its normal! Amazon also say the same thing.

Ignoring battery health percentage, does the phone perform and last the same as when you got it? Was it brand new? Was it sold by Amazon or a third party via Amazon?

The phone was likely sitting in a warehouse for months, the battery has aged I’m guessing.

To be honest, you won’t see a real difference in the actual battery life - it’s just a number. I’ve had bad luck like this with iPhone batteries too.

I think it’s just a lottery with each battery. I’d not treat it as a problem unless it was down at something like 90%.

It was sold by direct amazon

Agree with the battery aging theory. Many people don’t buy the iPhone Pro model once it’s past March because the next model always comes in September. If you buy old stock, it’ll have an aged battery.

‘No way a brand new iPhone should have 57 cycle on the battery. It is possible that Amazon sold a returned phone as new? We are the original seals in place? Amazon does resell as new items returned if they have all the original packaging and look new.

also check to see if the phone’s serial number matches what is on the box. Amazon my have been scammed one it’s own customers.

Battery health aside, there's no reason it should have 57 battery cycles. You got something used/returned and it was sold as 'new.'

He bought the phone new on the 5th June and made the post on the 26th July, in that time its possible he made the charge cycles himself!

That is indeed possible as he didn't specify when he checked the battery's health and cycle counts. I just assumed he checked it soon after he received the iPhone.
