IPhone 14 Pro - “Mirror Front Camera” Not Working

For whatever reason, the “mirror front camera“ setting is not working on my 14 Pro. I have toggled it on and off several times and still all pictures and videos taken with the front camera are “backwards“. i’ve also hard rebooted the phone a few times as well. Any ideas? Is the setting just a non-functional decoy? I didn’t have any issues with mirroring the front camera on my iPhone X when making videos, etc.
