I see a lot of threads about 15 pro to 16, even 13 pro to 16 pro, but nothing about the 14 pro to 16 pro.

Whats everyone’s thoughts who has 14 pro. Are you upgrading?

I’m on the fence. Was thinking of holding out and trying AI on my Mac?

I have a 14 Pro and am upgrading to the 16 Pro, however it's really because I hand down my old iPhone to my daughter and her 12 Pro Max is getting long in the tooth.

I am doing it, the 14 pro has been fine and could last me a while but I will pas it to my wife and then fully utilize the new camera features on the 16 Pro. I am trying to not get back on the yearly but this one hits a lot of boxes for me from the 14.

Undecided after this years event. I was every year upgrader until 12pro then skipped to 14pro. I was expecting to upgrade this year to 16pro but now on fence and maybe waiting 1 more year. Probably wouldn’t want to wait till 18 if had 16 and don’t want to upgrade only after 1 year again for the 17. If that makes sense.

Have a 14 pro, only reason I’m upgrading is because the wife broke her 13pro so I getting the new one and passing on my old one.

Until a better trade-in offer is available from my carrier (T-Mobile (GO5G PLUS)), I'm really feeling stuck. It will cost me $100 after trade-in of my 256GB 14 ProMax to downgrade to a 16 Plus (downgrade or lateral move at best). It will cost $400 to move up to the 16 ProMax and, honestly, the 16's aren't compelling anyways. I'm definitely bored and tired of this 14 ProMax though.

My 14 Pro's down to 84% battery health. I've been going back and forth between just paying Apple to replace it and going another year, or upgrading - though I'm undecided on where I might upgrade too. I feel like the 16 Pro is just going to have me back in the same "the battery life isn't enough" bin in 12 months, but the Pro Max is huge, and the Plus got a battery cut + no AOD.

Don't really have a goldilocks option IMO.

14 Pro to 15 Pro was amazing, so 16 will be even better. The 14 Pro is an absolute brick in comparison to the titanium frame phones.

14+ to 16 Pro.

Apple Card financing (24 months / 0%) made me do it ! 😭

Apple Card financing and a $400 trade in for my 14 pro...

$600 for the new 16 pro...seems reasonable...probably end up ordering.

If I dont, gotta pay for new apple care + and the value of the my trade in will obviously drop next year.

If using trade in values now, you would only lose $60 trade in value.

Good upgrade to make! Although I will say my 14 Pro felt more premium than my 15 Pro does. I believe it was just because of the weight honestly, it just felt way more solid to me.

I'll be upgrading to the 16 Pro as well.

I've now snagged three 14 Pro's to replace wife's and two friend's SE-2's.

The 256 GB Apple refurbished ones sell out quickly (at $270 discount) on their site. Some people must still think they are "worthy" lol

I went from the 14 pro max to the 16 pro max, it’s not a huge upgrade but I am glad I did it. The camera improvements are quite noticeable and nobody mentions it but the speaker volume is much louder which is nice.

14 PM to 16 Pro, feels great. Massive difference of course, but pro size works better for me after really tried the max. The 16 Pro specs promise quite ok battery time, not to much behind the 14 PM theoretically, hoping this to be proved accurate.

My iPhone 14 Pro is 2 years old but like brand new (battery is still at 100%). I really had no intention of upgrading. I figured I would wait at least until the 17, but I just realized I can get a 16 Pro essentially for free (assuming I stick with my carrier for a few years, which I suspect I will). The two biggest benefits for me are a lighter phone (I always thought the 14 was too bulky) and access to Apple Intelligence.

Does it make any sense NOT to upgrade?

Only reason I upgraded was because my wife was upgrading from the 12 Pro and it’s easier to just have everyone’s device on USB-C or no ones 🤷‍♂️

On the fence…. Have had my 14 Pro for a little over 1 year. Battery health at 93%. Only thing really making me want to upgrade is Apple intelligence. Would that be worth it at all? I have a Mac and iPad that will support it, maybe I’m dumb for wanting to upgrade my phone. Idk. Not sure what I will do yet.

I think the 14 Pro and 16 Pro are very similar indeed. No real need to update as both are really excellent. Can’t go wrong though, you’re in a good position whatever you decide.

I upgraded from the 14 Pro to the 16 Pro for relatively minor reasons and I'm enjoying it. I wanted to take spatial videos and photos of my elderly mother. However, all the minor improvements did add up to a noticeably better experience beyond that and I'm impressed with Apple Intelligence so far. Once we have ChatGpt integration I think it will be awesome. However, you can get all that with the 17 series coming out next year.
