Turn off the phone doesn't fix the issue... It's not a pixel going bad because it only happens when I look at a picture an close the gallery app. If I look a the same picture on a message the issue does not occur. The issue doesn't happen on any other app or phone call, safari, text... If a pixel is going bad it would happen all the time, right? I just search on Youtube an someone else mention this issue after updating to 16.4. I went to settings, photos, disable/turn off View Full HDR and like magic the issue is not longer there... That means I don't think its a pixel going bad I think its a software issue after 16.4 and glad its not only me. Most people probably didn't even notice
14 pro max here. I can recreate the same issue. Turning off view hull hdr fixes it. And I’m running 16.5 beta 1.
After watching a couple of YouTube videos I found a couple of people having this issue after 16.4 and told then how to fix it or at list solve the issue for now. But this is not right and I don't think the phone should act this way. Did 16.5 Beta 1 solve the issue. If not can you reported to Apple as a developer? Also I fell like the phone flicks a lot more after 16.4 while using it. Thank you!
Thank you. I'm also noticing the issue after watching some IG Reels or some IG videos, It happened today. Only on IG. Doesn't happen on any other app or while using the phone. I wonder if its related to HDR, Reels and videos on HDR. I hope its a software issue and not hardware or even worse, a display issue. Going to check if I can find something on IG settings...

iPhone 13, the same issue, I first noticed on Instagram reels when closing from one app to another app or home screen, then on gallery the same, watching photo then going to the home screen and it flicked one or two times, I hope it will be fixed before this did not notice,
When you noticed this issue? After 16.4? I called Apple Support and reported the issue. They gave a case number. She said she couldn't find anything or any other report. She said they are going to look into it but if nobody calls or report the issue on the Feedback app I don't think they are going to look into it as a priority. Hope the next update fix it
Noticed this after the 16 ios version, on 16.3.1, and the next versions, now I am on 16.4.1 and still have issues, I also reported the issue to Apple support but for now no replies for me, I was going to send a phone to official Apple service perhaps they will found what the problem because such an error is annoying, some tell me to wait for updates, still do not know what to do.
I also notice this, though i cannot replicate it every time. I found out that if you start screenrecording it stops flicker, 100% software bug!
Hi. Sorry to bother you. Any news regarding this issue. I called Customer Support and reported the issue. They open a case. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know if it is software or hardware...
I was calling to Customer support many times, and all of them recommend to do typical things (reboot, hard reset), supposing they know nothing about what to do with this issue, better I think to bring the phone to Apple's official service to diagnose it, they will tell what we should do
No response, but I just installed 16.5 Beta 3 and so far it seems to be fixed. Will keep you posted.
I just called back. And talked to another Senior adviser. She ask me to do a screen recording but the issue is not visible on the recording. She told me everybody should call and open a case, not just talk to then, tell them you want to open a case. I have a case number. If you don't open a case nothing gets reported and they are not aware of the issue. So call back and tell the there is more people with this issue and you want to talk to a Senior adviser and please open a case. They will sent you a case number.
I called Customer Support again and talked to another Senior Adviser. They asked me to do a screen recording but the issue is not visible on the recording. She said everyone who has the issue should call customer support and open a case. If you call please tell them there is more people with this issue and you want to talk to a senior adviser and open a case. She said if nobody open a case and only talks to a representative there is not report of the issue.
Somebody just reply a solution on a Reddit forum: The solution is: Accessibility/Display/White point reduction (25%). If you turn this on, the flashing will stop. He also said is NOT fix on 16.5 Beta 4. I tried and it works. Only thing is it makes the display a little darker so I just turned the brightness a little higher (I don't use auto brightness or true tone)

I also experienced it. But this doesn't happen to my other 2 phones. Which are both iPhone 14 pro.

Also experiencing this screen flicker. I reduced the white point for now until Apple releases a fix. I brought my iPhone 14 Pro into the Apple Store 2 weeks ago for the issue and they couldn't find any hardware issues and recommended I hard factory reset, which I've done.
Hi. Did factory reset fix the issue? I read comments from people from different country with the same issue, that means this issue is worldwide and Apple needs to fix it asap. I'm dealing with this issue for 2 month since 16.4. I opened a case with Apple support back then. I'm still waiting for a fix or an answer from them. If you call Apple Support please open a case. The more people opening a case the more lucky we are from Apple to look at the issue and fix it. That is what a Senior Adviser from Apple to told me...
