Hi Guys,

I have a budget for either the iPhone 15 Plus or, at most, the iPhone 16 Plus. Could someone please explain the key differences between the two—beyond just hardware? Specifically, what software limitations of functionality and features that would be missing in 15 Plus when compared to the 16 Plus?

Also, if I go for the iPhone 16 Plus, how many years of hardware and OS support can I roughly expect?

And just to clarify, I can’t consider refurbished models since I’m not in the U.S

Thanks!

The 16+ is bound to get one year longer support than the 15+. Software limitations, I believe the 15+ doesn’t support AI but that doesn’t seem like it’ll be much use anytime soon.

The 16+ also has a bigger battery than the 15+ and I think it’s also more efficient.

If the price difference isn’t much (~$100), then the 16+ is the better option.
