Now that we know the 15 plus will get much needed upgrades over the 14 plus is anyone considering it or going for a 15 plus? I have always b been intrigued by the amazing battery, simplicity, and most importantly, the reduced weight! If so what are you coming from?

60Hz is just a no go for me unfortunately, ESPECIALLY on a device starting at $930 that is only 128GB. My computer is 120Hz, my TV is 120Hz, I've had a 120Hz phone for YEARS (even before Apple finally hopped on board). The improvements to the 15/Plus ARE worthy upgrades to the 14 series however, but personally not good enough to steer me away from the Pro Max. Another reason I would skip the 15 Plus personally is the fact that I find my 14 Pro Max overheating OFTEN (even on power saver) due to the A16 chip, which will power the 15/Plus. That reduced weight though... *chefs kiss*

Good points, hopefully it will be 90 hz :)! should be $899 USD We will shortly see!

15/Plus will be an excellent device for most people, especially since it has a stacked CIS sensor. This should put it on par with the 15 Pro/Max in terms of image quality even though it has a smaller sensor.

Personally, I don't think buying 15 Pro/Max makes sense due to the form factor change next year.

I am considering the iPhone 15 Plus.

I have a 13 (non-Pro).

The Plus seems to be the least popular of the four models, but it appeals to me as someone who is thinking about a larger phone but doesn't want the extra thickness, heft, and expense of the Pro Max.

My only complaint would be the non-Pro models being nerfed to a 60 Hz display, when entry-level phones from Android manufacturers offer at least 90 Hz these days.

its funny though, because so many people are ok with the new 15 MBA.. same sub prime type of display..

We will likely be upgrading 1-2 of our phones to the 15 Plus. Passing 1-2 of the iPhone 13 down to the kids and trading in their iPhone 12. Normally we get the smaller screen format but our eyes are getting older and I use my phone as an ereader so having extra room for larger font should be nice.

We just haven't decided if both parents are upgrading to the 15 series or just one this year. Going to depend on the carrier deals and finances.

I’m thinking of going for the 15 Plus if I upgrade, Currently have 14 Pro.

I’m hoping has DI, 48MP camera, basically nearly all the 14 Pro stuff (apart from 120Hz screen), but with bigger screen and lighter.

The battery on my 14 Pro has been the worst, down to 87% health on a launch 14 Pro and noticeably worse than other years, as it seems many others. I’m hoping it’s not the A16 fault though, otherwise as above I’ll probably have the same problem!!

Reason I’m thinking of 15 Plus, is the PM is just getting silly price, and I’m thinking of trying the bigger phone to see how I get on.

With getting the 15 Plus I’m hoping I get most of the features that 14 Pro got, I can’t see the 15 Pro getting many updates to my 14 Pro so if I upgrade my as well go this route

It is not even 120hz but the colors - pro screens have more popping colors and regular looks washed out in side to side comparison. Without side comp, you would never know.

The price is the only problem. Otherwise, it's basically the 15-inch MacBook Air of phones. Perfect for most people. Most people just get the Pros though because it's only a few dollars more on their installment plan.

I like practicality, so not sure what I will do this year given they won't weigh much less :(!!!

If the battery on the 15 Pro is not improved over the terrible battery of the 14 Pro, I’ll have to consider the 15 Plus because battery is important to me.

Hate the large size and 60Hz refresh rate tho.

I am going from a 14 Pro to a 15+. My reasons are simple, a 48MP camera, dynamic island, and hopefully better battery life. Plus, I can give the PLUS a try. I really enjoyed my Pro, but for what I really use it for, it just didn't make sense to do a 15 Pro this year. In regard to the Hz. I use a SE3 for my work, and I could barely notice the difference between the phone. Again, other than basic browsing, text, calls, and social media - I am really not going to be missing anything significant when it comes to use.

Sounds like me. I had Pro iPhones since they where a thing. But I ultimately realised for myself that I don’t really need all the pro feature. I also only use my phone for the same things like you. And for these few photos I take from time to time, the camera is surely enough on the Plus. Only thing I’ll miss is the macro mode. But that’s not worth the extra cost.
Also Battery life on normal pros is bad.

I upgrade annually since the original iphone, currently on 14 Pro and leaning towards the 15plus this time around. 14pro battery life is very poor and going to 15pro max would be too heavy for my liking, also the 256gb minimum on the pro makes the price gap between the plus wider. Will miss the 120hz screen but I have to put the 14pro on low power mode half of the time, so I am kind of use to 60hz screen already 😐

I have 14 Pro and the same, battery been terrible, 87% now.

Trouble going 15 or 15 Plus is its the same chip, A16, as 14 Pro series. That’s what I’m wondering if it’s going to be the same problem.

I’m thinking of going 14 Pro > 15 Plus though

15 Plus is a good idea. Those colors are not, though. Gotta go black if you hate pastels.

There's never been an iPhone series with less appealing color choices. It's crazy.

The Pro screen on low-power mode looks worse than a regular 60hz screen. I don't know what the difference is, but there is one.

I can easily see the difference between my 13 Pro and my SE 2022, even if the difference doesn't bother me. My Pro on low-power mode, though, looks like crap.

Exact same thoughts, pity about the colours, only black I’d take….

I like the Pro colours though
