any iPhone 15 PM users upgrading to iPhone 16 Pro now that both phones have same features and Pro has a slightly larger screen?

If I was upgrading this year I’d do this. Probably just going to get the smaller pro next time I upgrade.

Still considering it. The appeal is the more pocketable size but how much of a hit on battery? My 15PM is fine with winter coats etc but I do find the size a bit impractical in the summer months.

I’m in the same boat. Right now, my pre-approval for the upgrade is a iPhone 16 Pro. I’ve always had the bigger phone ever since they were available (iPhone 6 Plus I think?). I do like the size at times, but there are other times where I think it’s awkward to use with one hand. I do love the battery life though.

My wife has always had the smaller versions, and whenever I hold her phone I think “oh this is so nice one handed”. I always went for the bigger phone as for the most part, they’ve had features not available on the smaller counterpart. Now that they’re the same, and the difference between 15 and 16 isn’t that much, I figured I might give the smaller phone a try for a year. Who knows, maybe next year the Max will have a feature or two that’s not available on the regular Pro, then I’m gonna have to go with the Max again. I feel like this is the year to try out the regular Pro for me.

I need the bigger phones for the battery life. They still don't last an entire day with everything that I do.

Looks like you’re losing 2 hours on video playback, 3 hours on streamed video playback, and 10 hours on audio playback per Apple’s comparison. What that equates to in actual real-world use, who knows.

I’m actually doing the opposite swap this year; 15 Pro to 16 Pro Max. I’ve been debating the jump to the Max line for a few generations now and with this year’s phones not changing much, this felt like a good way to switch it up (on the IUP).

I do think I’ll miss some of the one-handed usability at times, but honestly after playing around with the 15 Pro Max in the store last night for a while, I got used to it quick - and the width jump isn’t much from last gen. I found typing two handed much more enjoyable with the larger screen real estate, and am looking forward to the battery jump and larger screen in general. Funny enough that now the cameras are finally equal across the sizes.

Looking forward to next Fri!
