My iPhone 15 Pro’s battery life has suddenly went south - I’m pretty sure it’s been since IOS 17.6.1 - Before I used to go all day at 80% - dropping down to 65% at days end - now I’m down to 10%-15% at days end - usage hasn’t changed.

Any Ideas? Do I need a new iPhone?

Same here, my battery is pretty crap after the last update. I upgrade every year so this doesn't bother me too much but it does seem strange.

Found this thread and I’ve noticed my 15 pro’s battery being noticeably worse the past month or so. Is there a way to go back an update? The battery is suddenly mediocre at best.

I have excactly the same. Charged up to 18%. Rarely used, 2hrs later 62%. It’s almost unusable anymore. Battery health is 96%. Already reinstalled it 3 times from scratch - still the same.

Wondering if the battery unit itself is somehow damaged.

Looking at your screentime you used it ca. 45min in these 2 hours. For 18% drop thats not unusual.
Would be 4:15 SOT for 100%. Far from almost unusable…

And you have almost 50% background activities the day before. Check that

But the day before doesn’t matter for today. Yesterday, I had a car trip and streamed music - fair enough. But for today this is pretty bad

Try wiping your iPhone.

We have Mac & iPad users complaining of batteries not holding up so we solve it by remotely wiping the entire device and start with a fresh iOS or MacOS.

Complaints stop coming in after we do this....

Luckily our MDM will restore the profile user's files, apps, etc...

I already did it three times as said. Waiting for today's release and will do IPSW reset.

What does MDM mean?
Mobile-Device-Management. The device is managed by a company with its own policies which can also include how backups are created/restored and also shipping applications which are not in Appstore.

That's an easy potential solution when you're wiping other people's devices but there are several troubleshooting steps one should take before resorting to a wipe, even if all of their data is stored in the cloud.

Update - I Erased my iPhone and reinstalled from my iCloud back up - phone now is staying charged - maybe 30% -30% over a full day of heavy usage - I wonder what got eliminated or fixed?
