Is upgrading the iPhone 15 Pro Max to iPhone 17 Pro Max upgrade worth it?
I am seriously debating it.

Well your best bet would be to check on YouTube and see what vs videos there are comparing the two phone as for upgrading to the 17 pro max I would say go for it👍🏻

depends on your use case, in my opinion these are the main points in favor of an upgrade from 15 pm to 17 pm

i) battery (assuming your 15 PM is degraded to less or around 85% , (especially if you are on the go most of the time )
ii) camera (not a significant upgrade for most users , just for camera unless you are a content creator)
iii) Bigger screen (6.7 to 6.9 inch ) - Again not a significant difference
iv) Better thermal management on 17 pm
v) Slight improvements in the performance ( again you wont see huge differences for most users )

Most points above are not significant upgrades. so the choice of upgrade purely depends on the use case of the individual. If its me i wont upgrade from 15 PM to 17 PM

Comes down to what one exactly wants from their device. I upgraded from 15 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max. The battery life on the 15 was not great, wanted the new camera improvements (better zoom and the front facing camera). Other differences include a slightly bigger screen, addition of camera control button, and the processor upgrade. Also I like the orange color very much and wanted to get it.

The 17 Pro Max is a wonderful iPhone and I like it very much.

i went from 15pm to 17pm. I sold my old phone back to apple for £480 so this phone is now costing me less a month than my 15. Tbh there really isnt much difference. I prefer the finish by far on the 15pm.

The battery is better, but perhaps thats because its new at 100% whereas my old one was 86. I do like the camera button on the side and the 17 is also cooler than the 15. Truthfully though, for me, thats pretty much all i notice. For me too, ios 26.1 is a mess. Stuttery and just not very good. so im not too happy with my 17pm at the moment.

Anyway , its not a huge upgrade, if you have spare cash and use your phone a lot then go for it.
