It is Apple’s own screen and not Gorilla glass.
It features a Ceramic Shield screen, which is made by infusing ceramic crystals into the glass during manufacturing.

Why would you want to do that? 😡
If it did damage the screen it would look like impact damage so make sure you have Apple Care.
Funny because I dropped my 15 Pro the other day, badly, and the screen isn’t cracked but it’s deeply scratched in a couple of places.
I mean, I’ll take a scratch over a crack, but seems to me the Ceramic Shield maybe scratches easier and is more resistant to shattering than past iPhones.
Again, not a bad thing.
‘It is what it is. Never scratched a screen here, not even a little scratch. Hate screen protectors.
