Can the iPhone 15 Pro Max be used in wet weather or when it‘s snowing? Or is the phone only to be used in dry weather?

I see plenty of people using their smartphones when it‘s raining, but I couldn‘t tell from a distance if it was an iPhone they were using.

As long as you're not putting it on saltwater, running water, or in the shower, should be fine. I've had an 11 pro, 12 mini, and 14 pro, and use them all the time inside my sweaty jersey while cycling. Had zero issues within 2 years.

I'd recommend a battery replacement (which also changes the waterproofing seal) every 2 years to make sure the seal is good.

Iphone 15’s are IP68 rated which mean capable of being submerged in water for 30 minutes to a depth of 6 meters. I wouldn’t want to test this with my phone but you’re more than fine in the rain.

I also wouldn’t bother changing the battery after 2 years just to try and keep water resistance, yeah you might get a new seal on the front glass but theres many other areas more likely where water could get in like speaker grilles, buttons and the microphone where the seals won’t get replaced.

It’s fine to use in any weather. I used to submerge my iPhone 8 and 12 Mini in the sink to clean them once per month. Neither of them ended up with water damage. I wouldn’t do anything like that though once you’ve had a battery replacement because the water resistant seal could end up compromised and water could seep into the device.

I don’t clean my iPhone 13 like that, lol. Just a slightly damp cloth will do, I don’t want to tempt fate.

You can. The water protection is technical.
