So, it looks like the iPhone 15 Pro will be able to shoot spatial photos as well with iOS 18?

I’m on iOS 18 RC on the iPhone 15 PM and can’t see the ability to take spatial photos anywhere. Maybe that comes with 18.1? Would be very odd if that’s iPhone 16 only… but they might use the excuse of dual 48mp cameras giving better results.

I checked their comparison website again and now spatial photos is no longer listed for the 15 Pro. 😬

I’m sure they’ll find some excuse but it’s so frustrating that they’ve been withholding features for devices that actually have to hardware that’s needed for them.
3rd party apps let you shoot spatial photos and the results are great but Apple lets you do that only if you buy their newest phones. It so annoying.

My understanding is the A18 Pro has a pipeline to aid capturing photos and synthesizing them properly without lag

It's actually right in line with Apple's feature rationing practices. Limiting new camera features to the latest model is what Apple does every year.

Does anyone really believe iPhone 14 Pro/Max can't save 24MP photos or 80% Charge Limit is really only possible with iPhone 15?

iPhone 15 Pro/Max can do AI, but not Visual Intelligence because it doesn't have Camera Control button.

Bingo.

Not sure about the Pro, but I’m using a 15 Pro Max and it takes Spatial Photos just fine.
