Well, so far this is some "data leak" that can be false.

Doubt it. Apple will focus on making Face ID under the display for iPhone 16, not making the pill smaller.

It’s not even confirmed if an Ultra iPhone is even going to appear, and if it does they’ll likely use the current dynamic island on it. Apple would have left the old notch if they were going to change the island after just a year.
