I am not very happy with these incremental updates, we need new stuff. Feels like we are stuck in a familiar time as when we were stuck with Nokia for 10 yrs with the BS incremental updates. 24 color, 28 color , 128 color screens. 1 Mb , 3 mb memory, 50K px , 80K px camera , 1M pixel camera. And then Apple changed the entire landscape. We need new Hardware makers who are innovative, apple isnt able to cut in anymore.

download 18.1 beta for the headlining feature (A.I) which isn't fully implemented yet 🤣 and if you're not in USA then switch region 🙃

Has anyone sern The Verge's take on iPhone photography issues that has been going on the past few years? The issue they talk about is how highlights are "overexposed/brightness increased" making photos look really strange wishy washy. And that it's gotten worse with the 16 lineup... I didn't realise there was such a big issue with iPhone photography the past few years but I did notice this issue with my 15 Pro prior to watching thus video

Boo hoo... Off to Samsung you pop...

Clickbait article. The way to use the new features is wait until December. Cause the sucker doesn’t have any new features yet 🤣 Now where’s my fedex…

Tell me… Since you are so determined to complain, what features would you like to see implemented in a new phone? What revolutionary ideas would you like to see offered?

...we could just accept that phones have plateaued and they aren't the hot and interesting tech item anymore.

It's a solid upgrade if you don't update every year. Much how I don't update my computer every year.

my dad is on the iPhone 11, I think. Gonna be a big update for him.

Also, I didn't notice the non pros were just a wee bit smaller. I'll keep in mind in case I switch back (dpeending on what the mac studio offers). I would miss a telephoto, though.

Why do so many seem to hate the 16 Pro? Upgrades have been minor year-to-year for years.
I think this is even more minor. Some of the pretty big features:
- 12 Pro: redesign, MagSafe and 5G
- 13 Pro: ProMotion, brighter display
- 14 Pro: AOD, brighter display, notch change
- 15 Pro: titanium case, USB-C, lighter
- 16 Pro: camera button, fatter

I don't name stuff like wifi 6e, avtion button, etc because whatever... not a future that changes much. Of course it's all relative but I think it's clear the 16 Pro is the smalles upgrade in years.

iPhones are getting worse, not better. iOS is a dumpster fire (Android level of bloat [features/changes no one asked for]) and the iPhones… well, everyone already knows.

I haven't used an Android phone in almost 10 years but am almost there again.

Apple destroyed the Photos app. It was the last straw for me.

I see your point, but at the same time I'd argue the Camera Control could make more impact to how you actually use the phone than most of those additions which are sort of "just there". Not to mention it's the first screen size change since iPhone 12. But I do get it, not very exciting.

Yes. This has been going on for a while. Their HDR is horrible. Also, you haven’t been able to turn it off since the 12, I believe. You get Apple HDR whether you like it or not. Why remove a button to turn it off… fascism comes to mind.

HDR might not be the only issue but it’s way up there. Their algorithms are way over-processing the images.

Look at some high-end Android photos now. They beat the iPhone easily.

7 of the articles linked are all about the camera button 😆

this is an awful iPhone launch. they are really out of ideas and running behind.
While I agree about the camera button. coming from an iPhone 11, I'm actually looking forward to several new items and increased battery. Also, the action button should have more than one use. If I use it for silence how is it better than before for me? I'd like a long press vs short press or at least one more function.

I am coming from iphone 7 +, just set up face id which seems fast but is there a way to have it go to home screen without swiping?
Sadly, no. Apple want us to see our notifications etc on the lock screen first.
