iPhone 16 GB not responding

Hi all,
I have iPhone 16 GB. After selecting "slide to unlock" the phone does not respond to anything. It just becomes dead.
Does anyone knows the solution for this problem.

restart the phone, if not, try restoring it in itunes

Reset:
Press and hold the HOME button and the LOCK button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.

Restore:
If the phone doesn't show up in iTunes you need to Press and hold the HOME button and the LOCK button at the same time until the Apple logo appears and keep hold for 20-30 seconds until a connect to iTunes logo appears.
