Coming from a 12 Pro which I’ve owned since Jan 2021. Which would you choose and why?

I’m torn between the 16 Plus and Pro Max.

I’d love the camera on the 16 Pro Max but concerned the battery life might not be as good on the Pro Max due to:

- ProMotion display
- always on display

Whilst I like both of those features, these require more power from the battery right?

Despite this, perhaps the Pro Max is more of a future proof purchase due to the 8GB ram which should maintain multi tasking for longer, am I correct?

Keen to know the thoughts of this great forum.

If money is not a factor, go for the Pro Max... 120hz is great once you realize it. Camera is much better, build quality just feels so nice and premium.

Also, you can turn off Always On Display and if you really want, you can limit frame rate. Frame rate will be 60Hz instead of 120Hz.

Honestly for the money go Max. Just look for good deals, trade in promotions etc. Worst case I would suggest going with a 15 pro max over the regular 16 plus.

I faced the same dilemma and went PM. Adding up the differences between the two (everything others have already mentioned), the difference in price made it easy, for me at least, to pick the PM.

PM. I had the same decision. As far as $$ go, the same memory-size Plus is still a $1000 phone. If it were 700 or 800 it would have been a harder decision.

Pro Max all the way

The 16 Plus is a nice phone; but the Pro Max is the next level up and the battery life, for me personally, has been superb

I've bought the 16 Pro for my wife's Christmas pressie over the 16 due to the camera tech, the much better screen and also the size is perfect for her

If you can afford the 16PM; go for that and have no regrets

The Pro Max is definitely the better phone IF you can deal with the weight of it. The Plus is much more manageable in that regard.

I’m currently using the 16 Plus and the 16 Pro Max and I have to say, the 16 Plus is lighter and thinner, which makes it feel much more comfortable to hold and use. I’m really enjoying it, but I’m also debating whether to keep the 16 PM or keep the 16 Plus. Gotta return one of them.

Upgraded from the 15 plus to the 16 pro max. The 16pm has around 20-30 percent more battery towards the end of my day so it definitely has better battery life than the 16 plus. The displays and chip this year are much more efficient also.

My 12P bit the dust today and I upgraded to the 16P. Aside from the 5x lens (awesome) and USB C, there is nothing remarkably different, albeit I've only had it for a few hours.
