Hi all! I have only 89 charging cycles on my iPhone 16 Pro and the battery health is already down to 99% so it seems weird to me cause every post I see about this, people have like +130 charging cycles and still at 100%.
Is it possible that the battery is faulty or is anyone else already at 99% on their iPhone 16 lineup? Thanks in advance!

Apple won't do anything for you unless the capacity falls under 80% within the warranty period. Answering your question on whether it's normal or not requires a lot more information.

Ok, thanks for the reply! What information will be useful in order to know if it’s normal or not? I know it’s supposed to download to 80% after 1000 charging cycles so doing the maths I think it should be normal, but I saw posts from people still at 100% with +200 charging cycles so I don’t understand what’s going on with my phone. The charging limit is set to 80% and I don’t let it go under 20%, and being at 89 cycles shows that I don’t use the phone much since I started using it at the beginning of October 2024 when I bought it directly from Apple.

The battery health thing in Settings is not 100% accurate. I think it’s based on what the battery capacity should be, but I suspect all batteries don’t come out of the factory at exactly the same capacity. I’ve had an iPhone stay at 100% health for over a year. That is not possible.

I would just use and enjoy your new phone. You’re going to reduce your life health percentage by checking this daily and I suspect you’re well below 99% like most people.

Once you start realizing the battery doesn’t last throughout your day or starting to get low at the end of the day, then it’s time to consider a new battery or a new phone. There’s no need to worry before then.

i'd say you're doing more than most to keep your battery healthy. Just avoid excessive heat and use your phone like you want to use it. Battery replacement is relatively cheap so if you have to replace it in 3 years it's no a big deal. As others stated, capacity is a estimate and shouldn't worry you. Everyone has a different experience, the phones that stay at 100% for over a year either have exceptional batteries or their estimated capacity is just showing higher that actual capacity. Checking the capacity with something like Coconut battery (app available on Mac) to the phones estimate sometimes shows different readings.. Not sure if any of this helps but sometimes I think Apple shouldn't of given any capacity reading, just cycle count and a notification when the battery needs service..
